Cynthia McCabe

Cynthia has been a mover her whole life. From dance and gymnastics, to various sports and horseback riding, her biggest moments of joy in life have landed the feeling her body, mind, and spirit get from moving her body. This joy of discovery led study massage therapy and to a 15 year career as a Dance Movement Therapist, spreading joy through movement to those with mental and emotional challenges. However, she longed to return to her prior training as a massage therapist in 1982, to use touch to help people through bodywork and education into how their biology and form shape their way of being in the world and vice versa.

Therapeutic Asana

We move thoughtfully and slowly through themes and actions of the body
to feel into our ability to heal through building strength, mobilizing tissues and developing
moment by moment awareness. 

Private Yoga Instruction

As a Scoliosis specialist, a massage therapist and long-time
practitioner of Yoga, Cynthia applies her knowledge to help individuals increase strength,
mobility and alignment through private 1:1 instruction.

Gentle Stretch & Restore

We stay on the floor for most of this class, moving in ways that bring
strength and mobility while also down-regulating our nervous system, taking us from fight and
flight to rest and digest. Self Myofascial Release is often included through work with
myofascial recovery balls. 

Outdoor Yoga

Therapeutic Asana without the support of walls and props other than
what the student and teacher can carry. Modifications given as we feel into our ability to
strengthen, heal and mobilize.

Massage/Myofascial Release

Cynthia originally trained in massage in the Esalen/Swedish style beginning in 1982. In 2000,
after a 15 year career as a Dance Movement Therapist she returned to her massage practice,
this time continuing her training with John Barnes and Myofascial Release.
